NCECA 2019 Conference Tours and Shuttles Welcome to the NCECA Timed Tours and Continuous Shuttle Routes offered by Lew White Tours during the 2019 NCECA Conference in Minneapolis, MN! New for 2019 – Tuesday (Pre-Conference) afternoon timed tour with 4 stops: the 2019 NCECA Annual Exhibition: The Form Will Find its Way: Contemporary Ceramic Sculptural Abstraction at the Kathryn E. Nash Gallery in the Regis Center for the University of Minnesota campus, multiple exhibitions at Northern Clay Center, Ceramic Art of Sergei Isupov at the Museum of Russian Artand the 2019 NCECA Juried Student Exhibition at the SOO Visual Arts Center. – Wednesday timed tour to galleries of the Minnesota potters of the Upper St. Croix River Valley – Wednesday timed tour to galleries in the Red Wing & Northfield – Thursday evening time tour to gallery receptions in the western Twin Cities suburbs Held Over From Last Year’s Conference – Wednesday daytime shuttles to exhibitions – Wednesday all-day “Picks” timed tour encompassing the Minneapolis – St. Paul area – Thursday evening shuttles to exhibition receptions – Friday evening shuttles to exhibition receptions Detailed information about all of theses opportunities may be found on the Navigation tabs. But, before continuing, here’s two definitions: Timed Tours (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) – Everyone boards the bus at the Convention Center at the same time and the group stays together during the entire tour. At each stop a certain amount of time is allowed to visit the exhibition(s). At the end of each visit everyone re-boards the bus and travels to the next stop where the scenario is repeated. The tour cost on Wednesday includes a box lunch to enjoy while traveling. Tour participants select a box lunch from four choices during the registration process. Continuous Gallery Shuttle Routes (Wednesday, Thursday and Friday) – Buses operate continuously (much like a city bus system) with departures every 30 minutes from the Convention Center. Board the bus at the Convention Center at your leisure. Each rider receives a wristband which is the “ticket” to re-board the bus at any stop along the route. At any of the stops on the shuttle route riders may HOP-OFF and visit the exhibition(s) knowing that every 30 minutes a bus will be available at the shuttle stop to HOP-ON and ride to the next exhibition the rider wants to visit or return to the Convention Center. The shuttle ticket allows the rider to HOP-OFF and HOP-ON at any or all stops on the shuttle route. NOTE: A separate shuttle ticket is needed for each shuttle route. The following pages list the Timed Tours and Continuous Gallery Shuttle Routes offered Tuesday through Friday. For more detailed information about the exhibition(s) at each stop, please go to the “Exhibition” section of the NCECA Conference website. Tickets must be purchased for each Timed Tour and Continuous Gallery Shuttle Route. The pre-conference and at-conference price is provided on each page. Tickets for the Timed Tours and Continuous Gallery Shuttle Routes can be ordered in advance by mail. telephone, fax or on-line. To order tickets by fax, mail or telephone, please complete the order form and follow the directions on the order form to get the ticket order form to Lew White Tours. To order tickets online , review the routes under each designated tab. Once you have chosen which tour(s) and/or shuttle(s) you would like to go on, return to the “ Home ” page, scroll to the bottom and choose the quantity for the tour(s) and/or shuttle(s) you wish to attend. Select the “ Register Now ” button at the bottom of the page and follow the instructions to complete your registration. A receipt for all advance ticket orders will be sent to the email address provided. To order advance tickets by fax, mail, or telephone (8:00 AM to 5:00 PM ET); please complete the order form that is available under the Off-Line Registration Form tab. Advance tickets must be purchased by 5:00 PM ET on Monday, March 25. Tickets purchased in advance will be available for pick-up at the “Tour and Shuttle Booth” on the Mezzanine Level at the Convention Center starting at 12:00pm on Tuesday, March 26.
